For the most part, that is true, but there are many different factors that you may want to consider when choosing the right shingle for you.
While they all can protect your home from the weather, each one offers a different warranty against things like the wind, algae and even possible defects. Considering the shingle you choose will most likely be on your house for 30 years or more, shingles are more than a purchase, they are an investment.
